I found it at http://scarlettrose.com/celtic_quilt_patterns_3.html she has a lot of celtic designs. |
I am not sure what the exact name would be called. I consider it Celtic design/Work. Same method as stained glass quilts. I found this book very helpful: Celtic Quilts (A new Look For Ancient Design) By Beth Ann Williams

Beautiful designs! Can you give me more details? Do you used bias binding which you sew on? Or do you use fusible bias binding? I am trying to figure the technique out! TIA...

SO EXCITED!! My local library actually has this book! Thanks for the referral. Will check it out. If I'm lucky, my attempt will turn out 1/2 as good as yours.

I think a narrow red border to define the center of the quilt then go from there with the rest of your ideas. Please post pics when completed. Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.

Red with white design would be beautiful. It's gorgeous! Nice work

Celtic Knots are a favourite of mine, and yours is spectacular!
Your plan sounds delicious, go with it!! |
You Rock Girl!!!! Whichever way you chose will be spectacular. Just go for it, but I did like the idea of a narrow border around the center piece
|
Beautiful, can't wait to see picture when all finished.
|
beautiful, cant wait to see it when you are done
|
That is gorgeous.. Your initial plan sounds good to me.

Wow ! beautiful Celtic work. the center is so flowing and
dainty, I would be careful of adding words.they would have to be quite cursive, not squared. beautiful had quilting in red thread on the next border or another simple Celtic curve. the red flange sounds super. a small, intricate pieced border would be great also. even a mottled red border with white Celtic. Great work on that Celtic design. |
That's awesome. I like the love/cherish idea. Lucky couple!
|
Gorgeous. Whatever you decide will be perfect.
|
Since your beautiful work is Celtic knot I would suggest two hands holding a heart . This is a traditional design in Ireland. and it would match the design.I'm sorry I do not know if there is a special name for it. If you look on the internet for Celtic jewelry you will certainly find it. The ring is sold in every souvenir store and jewelry all over Ireland. Or if you have friends of Irish culture they will know exactly what I'm talking about.

What a stunning job you've done here! I love your work!
|
I really like the Celtic designs. I would like to make the one in the new Fons and Porter Love of Quilting. Looks nice, but a lot of work I am sure. Your design is really nice and whatever you do will work.
