I'd use that dark plum looking color. I just like binding in darker colors since the edges will have most hand contact and tend to soil over time.
yes, i would also use the darker color..very nice good job!
I too would go with a dark color to frame it, the dark plum would be nice! Great job on the quilt, it looks nice!
Cheers! Rachel |
I'm thinking the dark color
I like the dark one too....looks like a frame to what is inside
I vote for darker, too. It would set it off nicely. Great quilt!
I like the green for a softer ending.
A darker something to set if off for the fianl time.
I'm in with the majority, darker would be perfect. Looks great Love your quilt so far!

Nice quilt........I agree...... darker binding.
Wonderful quilt!!! I also vote for the dark color, though it looks blue on my monitor.
I agree, the dark color would be nice.
imho,i would go w/ the dk.purple

I'm not sure. I would have to lay all the prospective colors along the edge of the quilt, stand back, then decide. I might consider using the light blue in the sashing to continue those lines out to the edge of the quilt.
Beautiful quilt! |
Somehow, a quilt always looks more "finished" to me with the binding matching the darkest colour in the blocks. Like a frame, I guess. Very nice quilt!
the purple that is in your quilt top
what is the backing fabric? I'd be tempted to match that.
I was leaning towards the dark purple too. The backing is just white muslim so I don't think I want that as the binding.
Thanks for all of the great opinions! This is my first quilt and I don't seem to be that good at colors.... |
dark plum....its looking good!
Just wanted to say "beautiful quilt".
I'd choose the dark as I think binding in a dark seals everything in.

Nice looking quilt--I vote for the green.
Imho, I would use the darker color - blue/plum(?). I think it will show dirt less than a lighter color.
I'd use the dark color that is in the quilt . :D

I also agree the darker would just stop the design.
Most picture frames are dark to set off the subject so the dark color would do the trick for you.

I would use the dark color, it would show off more and enhance your quilt, love your colors.
I chose green too.
Darkest color would be my choice.
Purple/blue
I vote for the dark. Thanks for showing us. Beautiful.
