I saw one just a week or so ago that was done all in white, beige, off white, tan, Toast, etc. It was beautiful and very delicate looking. Does anyone else remember seeing it? Jan

I think this one might be the one I recall! Gorgeous!!!! Looks like it is hand quilted to me! Jan

I would use a very light cream decorative background and then use pastel colours - how about making them plain!
Good luck. Show us the outcome with Grandmother and her new llap quilt. |
The colors she likes to wear should give you a clue as to what she would like to see in the quilt.
When the '30s prints started to become a trend, I couldn't imagine wanting to use them. At the next show I attended a quilter friend submitted a quilt patterned from a Georgia Bonesteel book, used '30s fabric and it was stunning. It reminded me of a summer ice cream festival! Now I want to use those colors, go figure. |
White on white with neutral on neutral tones.
