Hi quiltlady, Thank you for your comments on my quilt. I do want to add about yours: Your blocks are very beautiful. You can still have beautiful quilting with stippling and swirls. My quilt has a lot of swirls in the background quilting. Do a practice piece and try to make your swirls and stippling very small. That is the trick to background quilting. Try making a baby quilt (or something) to practice getting your motifs (swirls and stippling) small. (I don’t mean micro. I don’t think that is what this quilt needs). I hope I do not miss it when you repost the finished quilt. (I know it will not be in the next few days :-). I think you can do this!! Be brave!! :-). The courage to do something new is always what I have to work on and I am always surprised and happy with my end results. Give it a try!

This is a hanky quilt that I made for my daughter. Some of the hankies belonged to my mother. Others were collected and some purchased. Each has a French Fuse ironed on the back and then they are sewn down onto a white Kona cotton block. The blocks were then set on point. This worked very well. I believe this would work for your squares. This quilt also has white sashing.
