Need ideas to fix quilt please
I can not believe I didn’t notice the birth date in the tractor wagon is wrong! It should be 11/2 NOT 11/22. Looking for ideas to fix it. Worse case I’ll rip it all out and put a new panel in, but not my first choice. It’s for my nephews child so I’m very bummed that I messed it up!

Is this printed on an inkjet printer & can you reprint that panel? If it were mine, I'd take out that section of quilting, remove the panel and hand sew the new one in place, then re-do the quilting. It would annoy the hell out of me to leave it, and your nephew most likely won't know the difference if you don't tell.
Or you could reprint the date on similar colored fabric and applique over, remove the old date if it shows thru the fabric. |
Can you turn 22 into 02?

It looks printed, not monogrammed or embroidered. Easiest solution is to follow Gay's advice. Unpick the quilting, replace the panel and requilt that area. It is a very cute baby quilt. I love all the baby farm animals.

Thanks all, that was also my thinking. It would drive me crazy to not fix it or just do something over it, so I'm going to print a new panel, pick it all apart and resew it in....this quilt is going to be the death of me. The final quilt is not what I planned. The original blocks was the plan, then I decided to add the tractor and it changed and grew and it's SO darn yellow. It's taken me forever already and I'm way behind on other projects with baby due deadlines as well. Oh well, they will love it and that is all that matters! Final size is 68" x 68", a very large baby quilt!

How do you add a photo? I was going to show the entire quilt.
