Thank you, Karen. Btw, where did you get the pattern for the quilt in your avatar? That's a project I want to start next, finding big center blocks, I REALLY like those!

Aw, thank you Robin Ann ;)

It seems to me that the last one displays the piecing better, it doesn't compete with the background for attention.

Each different background makes the Dresden look so different, I think it would look lovely with all 4 colors for background squares, and each one would show off your plates in a different way. I would go dark blue, dark green, light blue, off white, dark blue.
next row, dark green, light blue, offwhite, dark blue, dark green,
next row,.. so on.. or if you are only putting 4 across, DB, DG, LB, OW; NEXT ROW: DG, LB, OW, DB; NEXT: LB, OW, DB, DG; NEXT: OW, DB, DG, LB, ETC.

Uhhhhhhh ... Linda .... uhhhhhh ... my brain doesn't DO THAT!

Hey Kacy! Thank you! Is Alberta Creek near Kingston? If so, we should meet up sometime! There are a few of us in this area, it would be fun!
