Warm Wishes quilt pattern ...
... make it with larger squares than norm to show your large print(s)

Back it with some of that large print yardage too!

I am working on a four by four pattern right now to showcase a lovely print. You take one large square of your chosen size (I use 6”, 8” or 12” depending on the fabric and size I want). Alternate with a coordinating 4 patch of the same finished size. Set the 4 patch like a chain. Super easy, works up quickly, and can be any size from a baby quilt to a lap quilt to a bed quilt.

Here are some great patterns for panels and large cuts of fabric. Most of these are free downloads... from Blank Quilting.

My go to fast pattern for any big print fabrics are the 3 yard quilt patterns from Fabric Cafe.

This one from quiltingtwins

It's quilted twins.

Also for large print/quick and easy charity quilts there are the ones made of squares. 12", 10".... on down to postage size.
Whatever your print repeat is.
Very simple quilt design but I've seen some cute ones.
Scrappy random, with or with sashing between rows or running print squares in diagonal rows or on point squares.

Great ideas

A few years ago, I purchased this very vibrant forest creature FQ bundle, along with coordinating solids. My idea had been to do a 16-patch with snowball blocks, with the snowballs being the feature fabrics and the 16-patches being these solids. I'm wondering now if they would all run together too much, and if it would result in an overly dark quilt. Any thoughts?

don't forget all the pillowcase drives that will be coming up
https://www.blankquilting.net/produc...WEB%20FILE.pdf
great use for that gorgeous yardage.
and you don't have to limit to 'charity', you can make them for every family member, every organization member, every sewing/fishing/golfing/chess person of groups you belong to. Ride share gang, weight watchers group or leaders, study class, the people you send holiday cards to... That should use up stash. And as the stack grows what a feeling of progress and satisifaction.
Even tiny communities like Kalama have some kind of helping hand group, they could probably uses about 1000 pillow cases now that I think of it. too bad I don't have a stash :) but I think I'll bring it up for our little stitchery group. right now we are doing hospice quilts but it's just a 12 bed facility so that will soon be finished.

o 1 Yard Print (Body of Pillowcase)
o 1/3 Yard Coordinating Solid (Cuff of Pillowcase)
o 1/2 Yard Coordinating Print or Solid (Trim of Pillowcase)

(I'm going to put this up in a thread of it's own, since the season is coming up :) )
