Ghettohound, no such thing as a stupid question!!! I trim those at an angle, myself. There is going to be another 1/4 inch seam, so when that seam is sewed, my seam allowance is "almost" 1/4". reduces bulk. my trim is 1/16 - 1/8 at the seam tapering up quickly to 1/4", a cut of about 1/2" long on the diagonal. |

I usually cut off the dog ears as it reduces the bulk -just a word of caution make all your blocks before you trim them so if one is a bit smaller you can trim to that size!!!
