Knowing how my family likes to talk, I may make one of these with some sort of Insulibrite? in them so I won't get cold buns to spread cold butter on.
|
I use coffe cans, the large medal ones. Make a lining and put pockets on the outside to hold little quilting tools. If she hand quilts she could get some thread, needles, etc. in the pockets.

Wow - these are great ideas. Thank you for all the suggestions.

The new insulated potato warming bags are awfully cute, especially when made with potato fabric. I have the pattern and the fabric, but haven't made any yet. Looks like that will be next year's Christmas present for friends. This year it is tablerunners.

I'm also wondering what mug buckets are...any pictures?

This is a nice gift for a quilter or someone who sews. I call it a "sew and go" and have used mine for years and made some for others who really liked using it at home and on the road. It keeps all your things together - small scissors, thimbles, thread, needles, etc.

Great ideas! I'm glad you posted this question because there are some of us who still need last minute gifts.
