Hi everyone

If any of you can put me in the right direction for this...

I need to find a real easy pattern and I mean easy for a beginner who needs to make either a Table Topper or a Wall Hanging. I have til Dec of this year to make it and to get it finished.

The size can't be any smaller than a 12 x 12 or 24 x 24.

I was thinking a 9 Patch Table Topper or maybe a Wall Hanging...I already checked out the tutorials on here and I really like the 9 patch idea the best.

What is a Rail Fence Pattern and where can I find Instructions or the Pattern for this?

I'm just new on here and a Beginner so I will have lots of Questions.

Thanks for your help...

I wold check out the doll quilt threads here as well, they have a bunch in that size category and there is a little bit of everything there, give you an idea what you can be doing and how hard or easy they can be. Most will share what they did to get it,

My very first quilt block was Ohio Star, and is still one of my favorites. It is also easy to make in any size.

Hello and welcome from another Northern Indiana quilter.

You've probably already checked out this site, but I want to mention it. quilterscache.com
There's blocks for all levels of experience, plus some good ideas.

I believe the Log Cabin pattern is perfect for a beginner, that's what I started with. Also Disappearing 9 patch and Warm Wishes are easy too. Good luck and Welcome!

warm wishes is a great beginner quilt (and even for us old-timers) looks fantastic and easy as can be...
