Wow. so many great suggestions. What came to mind for me was older patterns such as Roman Stripes, Drunkard's Path, Double T. Hope you post pics of the finished project. Beautiful fabric.

I would be inclined to find some mrdium green with a "pop" to it like gold, not fussy, but just enoough to compliment your nice fabric. I would cut the fabric in strips and work with it that way. good luck.

If you want to make a tablerunner, the pattern braidrunner by GE Designs would look nice. You would need a center square as a focal point and from there 6 different colors,

THOSE ARE BEAUTIFUL PRINTS!!! I would add one or two solids or "near" solids to get my pattern choice. You can always do just 5 inch charms out of those fabrics and sew them up that way with the solids to contrast, and then really show off the fabrics. Can't wait to see what you come up with.:)

Just today, Fons & Porter made a table runner w/similar fabrics. It was in the 1600 series on their website. They started w/a 60 degree diamond & used the fabrics in a log cabin setting & it was beautiful. Looks like your stripe would be perfect for this application. Give it a look & maybe you will be inspired. They certainly are gorgeous fabrics. Good Luck!!

Use the stripe as sashing or a border and maybe do a french braid or kaleidoscope pattern.

Last year I made a simple 8 inch square blocks 6 across, 7 down with a similar fabric, used a stripe fabric for back. It is my favorite winter quilt to put over my lap when watching TV on cold evenings. I had seen a similar quilt in a gift catalog, can't remember the price, but expensive. I loved it in the catalog & knew I already had almost everything (needed to buy the strip fabric) I needed to copy it. Simple diagonal lines with red thread to quilt it. I think it is the simplicity that makes me smile every time I use it.

Okay my first reply was before these threads were merged, and I hadn't seen the fabrics. Now that I see them, I agree with other posters who say the fabric isn't suitable for a log cabin. You need large, simple blocks to show off the pretty prints. And I also agree with the poster who said you need to add a solid, or a print that reads as a solid.
