I like the black, it forms a great frame. Beautiful quilt..is that a varigated vortex quilt? I love it.

I like it with the inner border, but don't like the black. I would try and pick up one of the other colors in the quilt and use a darker hue of it.

The name of the quilt pattern is Radiant Suns...and I went with the dark purple inner border, but it is so dark that it almost looks black!

I agree with Kathy. You need the darker inner border to help set off the quilt properly.
