How do you keep your bobbins from becoming a big mess of tangled threads???

You know the little rubber things you buy to put between your toes when you do a pedicure..I use them for my bobbins !!

Melody- that is such an awesome idea!!!!!! Thanks :D

That is such a great idea Melody! I use the tiny rubber bands for kids hair.

I have a bobbin box I bought.
|
I buy the inexpensive bobbin boxes from Joanns (use the coupons unless on sale) and the cheap tiny stretchy hair bands. Big bag at Walmart a couple dollars and I can at least color code by general color. I use white ones on my multicolor ones.

I use the tiny hair bands to color coordinate but the dr. I work for uses rubber bands to keep the bobbin with the spool. Not exactly sure how. I think she puts the rubber band thru the bobbin hole loops it then puts the big loop around the spool, I think. I said it can still unravel but she says it doesn't.

Hubby bought a round clear tube something you would out on a small water pump. I cut it off the size I need small enough to fix inside the bobbin then cut it open side it on the bobbin. :P

I use Bobbin Mates and Bobbin Wraps as I put my thread on spool racks that hang on my wall. I got mine at Clotilde.com but they are available everywhere on the internet
These keep the bobbins attached to the spools |
I put mine on the shelf in my Bernina case. You can also just gently pull about a 4 inch tail piece of thread down along between the bobbin side and the thread mass. It will stay in the valley until pulled out again.
