I can see them used as the alternate block with another block. Maybe something like a Lemoyne Star.

Thanks, I only ordered 5 of the blocks because they are pretty expensive.

Five of the blocks will cover the corners and the middle blocks. I did a similar thing in My Edith Piaf Quilt and if you get some complementary fabric which can be used alternately it would work nicely. Thanks for the suggestion, but since the photo portion of the block is only 7.5 x 7.5, I'm afraid they would just get lost in a queen size quilt.

I understand your concern with the size of the blocks,but they can become larger by adding to them. Hope you find a pattern that works for you.
