I use a carpeted stair tread. It's the right size and right shape. The machine vibrates much less and doesn't travel. Now if I could find the perfect solution for the foot pedal!

My problem also. I have tile floor, so I just bought a 12" brick paver, set it on rubber shelf line, then put shelf line between it and foot. Nothing EVER slips anymore.

I just bought one of the for the machine and the foot pedal. I haven't tried it yet but it doesn't seem to move like other things I've tried. If it works, it's worth every penny. I think the set was $39.95 from Martelli.

Let us know what you think after you get a chance to use it.
