I myself would make a wall hanging with medical things on it , that would be something that the Dr can say one of my patients wife made this for me .. I would love that ..

How about satin pillow cases with some pretty trim?

I used to work in a Dr. office too. Doctors are constantly on the move so if you do a coffee cup I would suggest travel mug. Baked goods are always a hit in the office.

Bless that kind doctor. I suggest a nice bottle of wine, encased in a quilted wine bag. I have made a couple of these bags and they don't take much time. God bless you and your husband.

Great News, the best news.. what ever you decide to make I am sure your Dr. will love. Probably what ever takes the shortest time.. I like the mug rug, mug and muffins... great idea. God is with you both!

I work in private practice and ALL our docs make House calls, yep they still do. Call his office and check w/staff. A mug and some muffins will go a long way Wonderful happy news for the New Year. Smiles.

Mug rug sounds nice, but it depends on what type of coffee cup he uses or how absentminded he could be. If he is not use to one he could sit the cup on the side of it if he is preoccupied and have a mishap. I vote to ask his office for any suggestions. One doc I have seen knew of my crafts and handed me some crotchet items out of a drawer he did not want. Stethoscope cover or several and personalize them or make them unique (maybe one out of a men's tie).

IN ONE OF OUR DOCTORS WAITING ROOMS, HE HAS A LOVELY WALL HANGING THAT SOMEONE QUILTED FOR HIM.
IT'S ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS NOTICED WHEN ENTERING THIS AREA. PERHAPS SOMETHING TO MATCH THE DECOR OF THE LOBBY. ANYTHING WOULD BE APPRECIATED AND WOULD SHOW YOUR FEELINGS OF GRATITUDE. |
I think I would write him a note to express your appreciation for a kindness that is not often offered by a physician. I'm always so appreciative of the written note. I also like the idea of muffins in a pretty basket with the note. I personally would not make a quilt or wall hanging except for someone I knew very, very personally. In the day of the internet, texting, Twitter, etc. we seldom actually receive a written message. I think an acknowledgment of his kindness is the most important thing. So glad your hubby had good news. The waiting is often the worst part.

I agree with this one. Congratulations on the wonderful news of your husband's test being clear. I will be praying for you.
