I think it's a great idea, especially if the second hand fabric is greatly reduced in price and is clean like new. I shop at thrift stores sometimes and the smell of the fabric can knock me out, so I don't buy it.

Absolutely!

Hey, some of us are on a fixed income and this would be great for us.

When and where...I'll be there! I get lots of bargains at the local thrift store but if it was just for quilters/sewers...I don't know if you could drag me out of there!

Yes. Don't we kinda do that with the classifieds on this board? A secondhand shop would be great for books, patterns, rulers, etc. Not to mention the fabric!!

Definitely! Would you move it to Michigan?

You bet. The price of everything is sky-high and if I can save and possibily sell some of my stash I am for it.

If I ran across one I sure would stop. It would peak my curiosity to the point I'd have to stop and see what you had....Too bad your in TX. :-(

BettyGee 08-20-2011 10:16 AM

Sure would, what a great idea.
