i did a search for modern designs for quilting, also Amy Butler designs. good luck
|
for patterns that aren't run of the mill you can look at Be Colourful or Caryl Bryer Fallert for ideas
|
Somebody had a square yo-yo quilt on this board. Very different but very neat.

The first one tha comes to mind is a Shadow Box. It looks very contemporary to me.

Neither of my dd's like traditional quilts... No stars, no triangles, no points.
My avatar is one I make for older DD; just gave it to her this past weekend. She loves it. There wasn't a pattern, I just started cutting strips and rectangles then put them together into blocks. Maybe you could do something like that, using colors she likes? |
I think these are gorgeous, I have 1 of her books and I can't wait to start one.

If you are looking for modern patterns, try www.ohfrasson.com
Scroll through some of hers for colour and pattern ideas. She has some great modern looking things on her site. |
Check out Debbie Bowles at
http://www.mapleislandquilts.com/quiltpatterns.asp She has some great stuff, wild colors, easy curves, very free form sort of work. I did a workshop and it is really easy and very simple to do. |
