I will be making a quilt for my eclectic daughter. She doesn't like "usual" quilting or patterns. So, I need ideas for this challenge! Colors are not an issue, just patterns!!!

Does she like Bargello ??? Google the book TWIST & TURN BARGELLO. There are a few members that have been making quilts from this book. They have all been gorgeous. The blue quilt is being made by a member of the board. Topic Title is Bargello in Progress. She called hers Sea & Surf being done in shades of Blue for the ocean and Browns for the beach. I made the Blue & Purple one.GOOD LUCK !!

What about something like this? http://rfvaldes.blogspot.com/2010/03...nes-piece.html Definitely not your usual quilt pattern - flowing curves across the quilt. Or you could do blocks of this type of piecing. When you said eclectic, this is what came to mind for me immediately (this style - I had to search google for the pic)

Maybe have her look at "Modern Quilts" on google images and see if anything strikes her fancy.

Check out javahousequilts.com. Such clever patterns. I've done a few of them, and I just love them.
