Hang in there! It will be so worth it! There were days (weeks?) I thought my sewing/work room was never going to be finished - the first it was supposed to be finished by Halloween, then by Thanksgiving - I actually got to move in stuff and finish a few things for Christmas! I was lucky because we had a contractor doing things - unfortunately after his regular job, so things had many delays. My poor DH kept asking me to prioritize things - after the walls, which thing to do next --- I tried to explain I couldn't put the machines, tables, fabric and stuff back until all the cabinets & lights were up, paint and trim on walls, etc.
You are going to have a beautiful room full of light! Keep taking pictures of the progress. And keep posting your progress! |
Wow! It will be fabulous when it is finished!! Look at all that room!!
|
Just think what a wonderful place you will have to sew in. :)
If you can't do it just tell him to find a buddy to help. |
Wow. It will be SO worth all the work! You're very lucky that you'll be having all that working room and a nice view to boot!
|
WOW I think you need a few more sewing machines to fill up the space.
|
Looks like it will be a wonderful room when it is finished.
|

Lucky you.
Will fall into place quickly now. I was in this very spot three years ago. I had the dry wall fellows prime and paint mine with the gun. Went fast and they did a fantastic job. |
that window view is spectaular ! Looks like it will be an great big room with plenty of elbow room! Can't wait to see the finished project soon...
|
I love your farm scene from the window!!

We bought a fixer-upper in 1985 and we are still fixing it up. And now we are re fixing. But my husband says that he always knows when we are 3/4 of the way through because I always say, "We are never going to be through with this...." We will be repainting the outside this summer.
|
You Lucky Lucky Lady! May good things continue to 'bloom' in your new space! Best of luck with your health issues. Enjoy your new sewing area-you earned it!

:-( The room where I whelped the basenji puppies, is now my sewing room. I couldn't do the dog thing like I knew I'd want ti, so I opted out, luckily I can still sew |

Just my thoughts to save you some headaches later. Would love to see it when finished.
