Take a deep breath, you will do find. Did you buy from the store/dealer. If so then see if they give free lesson. I do not have a pfaff but I do have a Bernina and I am still learning how to use it. So I kinow how you feel. :XD:

I think any new machine is intimidating until you start using it. And yes, the books are kind of hard to understand sometime. You'll do fine!! Congrats on the new Pfaff, you will love it.

Congrats! I 2nd Featherweight Beth, it will get easier with a little time. If all else fails, you could pay for a lesson or two at a dealer. But just start, manual at your side. It's not gonna launch into space, although they sometimes look like they could! I have an old Bernina that I'm learning from the manual (easy-mechanical), and an older Pfaff that's supposed to arrive today. I'm in it with you, my friend.

I have this machine and I am sure you DON'T want to know how I feel about it. I probably can't answer all of your questions but maybe some of the basics.

I have a Pfaff Quilt Expressions 2044 & I love it. PM me if you have any questions. I am not sure how similar they are, but maybe I can help!

I have just gotten an Exp 3.0 and love it. All except for the presser foot lever at the back, but then I have that gripe about every sewing machine.

I can't get needle threader to work, but can easily do it by hand. I've figured out most of the machine. Yahoo.com has a web site for Pfaff owners. Sorry, can't remember name but maybe they can help.

All else fails I'll happily trade you my 3.0 for your 4.0. Just to save you frustration you understand!
Good Luck!
