Great! I have a Viking and I love it! Happy sewing to you!

I sew mainly with my Viking and have to 16 years. Just love it! Happy sewing.

I have a Viking and love it. I'm so happy for you, but must admit, I am more than a ltitle jealous! Enjoy!

I'm so happy for you! I think you will LOVE your Husqvarna. IMHO, they are the best machines!! :)

I feel very lucky that I have been able to pick up two exceptional machines at a very good price.

Now all I need is somewhere to put them! As you can see from the photos, the dining table is not really big enough for two machines, my son's laptop, my daughters Christmas crafts, and any other quilting work ...

Congratulations - you have two real bargains there. If it's any help, I've been looking at a fold-up table on Amazon UK that reviewers say is sturdy enough to use for a sewing machine.

Now tell me - where in the UK did you source a Bernina for 100 pounds?! I've been looking out for one for ages without success.

They look like fantastic machines!

Well ladies - thank you for all your lovely comments. I am really enjoying using my new machine. I have just finished off my Pantomime costume on it, and it sews like a dream...

Annesthreads - I found it (and a Horn sewing cabinet) on the Ad Trader website. A lovely lady from Newcastle was selling it for her Mother in Law who was going into a home. It had hardly been used, and was in perfect condition, with all its attachments. I have to say I had looked for about 8 months before I found mine, and although I got very frustrated at times, the wait was worth it.

I found the Viking on Ebay - I had been bidding on it, but lost the auction. Then the highest bidder dropped out and lo and behold it was mine!

To Sandra, Kerry, Lovestoquilt, quiltinggirl, and to everyone else - I know I am going to enjoy my new machine. It is so much lighter than "Bernie" and will be great to lug around the countryside! I have discovered loads of Viking lovers and I am sure I will grow into one too!

Congrats! Love the block you have on the go - very interesting! And what a handsome young lad your son is - looks like he's working hard on his ... homework??
