Yes, I have one and they are great. Purchased at my LQS.

I have one, but haven't needed to use it yet! If I ever get my first quilt done, I'll let you know!!!
I have one and it's awesome!! I love it!!
A nut pick works great. Just have cut off the sharp end of the pick and grind it smooth.
I also use a grapefruit spoon - the little ridges keep it from slipping.
I found that a metal pick that comes with the nut crackers set works really well it has two grooves in the end that the pins set in it works great.
I agree with grann of 6. It would never be where I needed it.

Do you have one? What do you use to close pins? |
A grapefruit spoon works for me.
I still use my fingers its proven the safest for me :-P -using strait pins and hand needles are dangerous for me
I have one, but I haven't used it yet.
I have seen it but I have not tried it yet.
I've used one for several years and it's great! I can use it with either hand.

I've seen Eleanor Burns use them with pin clips across the top of the pin so it does'nt hurt your fingers.

my fingers

When I first started quilting about 3 years ago I saw this listed as one of the "must have" tools. Bought it ... I've used it once. IMO it's not a "must have".
I've never seen this. I just pin and suffer. LOL. May have to check it out if the other responders seem to like it.
I love using Kwik Clip or the nut pick as it saves the fingers. The pin clips on top of the pins is just another big expense. Try the nut pick...most of us have them and don't use them...especially the set of 6 all at one time. It must be old-fashioned for six people to sit around the nut bowl picking nuts.

I've never pin basted, I only use basting spray. That's the way I learned to baste and haven't tried any other way.
I'm guessing that you meant this was for pin basting? |
You can use an old fashioned grapefruit spoon, the kind with serrated edges. I think they are easier to hold.
I use a small screwdriver in my left hand to fasten and unfasten safety pins.
I have one and use it all the time

Joannes. Some quilters also use grapefruit spoons.

I have one. When you are putting all those safety pins in your quilt it saves your fingers from hurting...love it....
I absolutely love mine. I couldn't pin without it. The grove holds the pin just right. No slippage.
