I have been sewing 50 years. I started "collecting" thread when I got my embroidery machine 10 years ago. Never really learned to use it to it's limit. About 2 years ago my sister got a brother machine from Walmart and I found that machine easier to understand. Suddenly I needed more thread and E-bay was my new best friend. I have had to stop my self from buying more thread sets. Problem now is that I have a quilting machine and quilting uses a lot of thread and most of my spools are 1100 yards or less. I am now watching the 5000 yard spool sets.

At least your thread addiction is just to the cheaper thread at CT...I am addicted to Aurifil! Even though I can buy it wholesale..holy cow....

I know what you mean. I never dreamed I would have this much thread.....and fabric.....and sewing machines. I'm hooked.

lol, I've got my thread list started!!! I want variegated thread for the quilting machine. I'm holding off for now, but can't wait to make my order.

That's why I'm staying away from embroidery. Seriously, with the fabric and the SMAD, I've got to say no to something! I used to cross-stitch, and I've got $$$ worth of patterns, floss, and linen I'll never use.
