Anyone seen these yet? They will be out in September, this is the one line I am positive I will have no problem buying all of!!! Glad I have time to save up for it!
http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...bundle-450.jpg Fat Quarter Shop Anyone else snapping these up when they release? :) Cheers! Rachel |
Thanks so much for posting that!!
I'll have to order it for our shop. There must have been rumors of this group floating around "out there", because we have had people asking about Dr. Seuss fabric, and I just assumed they were asking about ones that they'd seen on eBay, fabrics which went out of print years ago. Again, another big thanks! |
Fun fabrics!!! I'm sure lots of people will be buying this!
|
I'm sure that will be a good seller.
|
Thanks for the head's up. Those would be so perfect for charity kids' quilts.

Yes, thanks for asking. I'm going to order the entire collection except for two that are only black-and-white (figuring that people would prefer the multi-color versions of the same designs).
I'm going to call Kaufman now, and once I find out what their price is, I'll know what we will have to charge. Fat Quarter Shop is going to be selling their yardage for $9.50 / yard but I'm sure we will be able to do better than that! |
gonna be needing this.... oh, yeah, for my 'someday' childrens book quilt...
|
Wish my girls were still little...they loved Dr. Suess!
|
Oh Yeah!!!! :D:D:D Thank you for letting us know about these!!!
|
Fun. I'll be on the lookout. I love Dr. Suess. Thanks

Those are so cool!

The first book my daughter learned to read was "The Foot Book". She just HAS to have a quilt made with this fabric! Thank you for posting, will be watching for preshipping sales!
|
I'll be watching!
|
Well that is one fabric line I will HAVE to buy. Can't you imagine a graduation gift of the book, "Oh the places you'll go" along with a quilt! My son will be awarded his master's degree soon and he's one who would love it! And there is DD who gets her teaching degree in August... oh the joy in my 'ittle heart right now!
|
thanks, cute fabric
|
Apparently these were a HOT item at Quilt Market! I just got the (unhappy) word from Robert Kaufman that their first printing, due in early September, is already oversold, so they will be reprinting and they don't have an ETA for that yet.
So... if you want to get these fabrics as early as possible, you should look around now to find a place that's advertising September availability. And hope that the store you've found is not already oversold themselves! I won't be able to get mine until the second printing, which I'm guessing will be in November. :-( |
It's about time we got some Seuss fabric!
I will hunt it down - and make some stuff with it. I adore Seuss - and we will probably go to Universal Studios again next year so I'll make sure I make everyone an appliqued shirt - the hat made with those materials. I can already see it in my head! Yay! I'm marking my calendar to look for it in September! |

I think I might have to get that fabric, my granddaughters favoirte book is One fish, two fish.
|
Well I'm going to have to make a quilt for my SIL. My daughter made him a Cat In The Hat costume several years ago for Halloween. He can tell the book word for word. On Dr. Suess's birthday he goes to the school and does a program for the younger kids. They love it and of course are young enough to think he is the cat in the hat. What fun he has.

Serves me right for not going to Market this time, huh? If I would have gone, I would'a ordered at Market, and would have been in on the first printing! (sigh) |

I'll call Kaufman next week to talk to their buyer, the person who places the orders with the overseas mills. By then, she should have an actual date that they expect the fabric to be arriving, printed, at their warehouse.

Rachel...I'm sorry. For some reason I was thinking that you were asking about the Fat Quarter shop.
|
Oh no problem!! :) I do like them too. They are a great shop to deal with. Sadly they are not doing pre-orders on the Dr. Seuss fabrics :( But I did get on their email list to be alerted when it becomes available.
