Here's a link to a company on the Fabshophop that has a very similar product. It also helps allows for resizing the block you're working on without doing all of the math. If I weren't using Marti Michells templates, this is what I would use.

I think this is the wrong link, it's about smart phones

Let us know how you like it when you use it. It looks really neat!

This link took me to a video about Smart Phones. While it was the wrong subject, the information I got from it was frightening. It details how people can locate you and/or your children from pictures you take and post with your Smart Phone and, more importantly, how you can prevent it. This is something I am definitely passing on to my family and friends who do a lot of posting of photos!

So thank you for this link!

I ck'd her website & the 24" ruler is $45 so I guess I'll just do it the old way. I'm not in that big a hurry.

Nancy's Notions has the entire set, including some not pictured on the previous web site, and they're on sale! The entire set includes:

* Adjustable 6" Quarter Square Triangle
* Adjustable 2"-6" Half Square Triangle
* Adjustable Setting Triangle
* Adjustable 12-1/2" Ruler
* Adjustable 18" Ruler
* Adjustable 24" Ruler

It's on sale right now for $129 for the entire set, and she's calling them "Adjustable Rulers". I saw her video, and the one from the lady from Australia. They're the same thing. Nancy uses a penny to screw and unscrew the screws, and it looks pretty easy. Anyway, as soon as I get my paycheck at the end of the week, they're mine!

capucine 10-04-2011 09:14 PM

That is much cheaper considering the triangles sells for $ 27.00 each and i paid $ 40.00 for the big one. I should be living in the USA!

If you buy two or three of those rulers, you could have put that towards the quiltcut2. I have one and love it.

http://www.quiltcut.com/products_quiltcut2.html

The quiltcut2 is one of the best investments I've made. I can cut strips, squares, Dresden plates, etc. in matter of minutes. My mom even borrowed it.

I have messed up a few bits of fabric due to wrong size cutting my own fault :( I have to double check triple check and count those inch squares until i go gross eyes just to make sure i have the ruler align with the white line on my mat etc etc.. With this ruler i am hoping it will make my cutting quicker and more accurate and save on wasting fabric. I am a little insecure as far as cutting fabric. :)

The Westalee rulers are tops, they have a huge range for loads of designs. We are in fact having them for a demonstration (2 one) on the 19th Oct. Looking for ward to see if they have any new ones out. Some of the quilts they bring to the demonstrations are stunning.

The name of the ruler is Westalee Adjustable Ruler.

I hope to find one at nancy's notions. If you google that name, she has a video on how to use it and what surprised me is the copyright of the video is dated 2009.

I wonder why we haven't heard more about this ruler, it's time to take a ride to Beaver Dam to find out if it is still available. Heard it is expensive.
