Surely this thing doesn't just run on batteries. Not that I would buy one either way. It would just sit like my bobbin winder thing I had to have does. Another waste of money for me..... but my friends love theirs .

I agree with you. It sure takes up a lot of space for what it does. Personally, I don't think it's that hard to pull a pin from a pin cushion. I think I can handle that. I would rather spend $20 on fabric and have a cute pin cushion beside me:-)
