I have several quilts in line for the longarm and need to make them a priority this coming year. The tops have been finished for a couple of years now and I have been afraid to do them on my longarm (I am not a confident longarmer). Maybe a class or two should be on my 2014 list ... we will see. I am working on several BOM's and want to get them caught up and finished (they both will end in 2014). I love making scrappy quilts from Bonnie Hunter's website and will continue my goal of using what I already own.

I made a goal for 2013 to finish an average of one quilt a week. (Sometimes I have tops donated to me--when I finish them up, they count.) I'll continue that one again--as it was a very good encourager/motivator.

Other than that, I don't do "resolutions" as resolutions.

I'd like to try something "geometric" during 2014 and a Bargello.

Complete my 2013 list of New Years resolutions that I did not finish this year. I finished 3 items of 6 items I had wanted to finish. Then I want to learn the EQ-7 system and design/make my own pattern quilt. Get better with my HQ-16 long arm and make 4 family members each a quilt. Then make my own projects for my house. And finally organize my sewing room and have more room to create quilts/wall hangings. Start and complete mystery quilts that I picked out to finish. And finally, continue to do swaps from the board and complete the projects, (I really enjoy doing them).

What is your New Years Resolution?

That's a great resolution. I should do that too. What I was thinking of was to complete UFO's mostly before starting new quilts.
I've ended up starting new UFOs by taking a quilting class, many of which imply that you'll have a finished quilt in a day. But I've ended up with a bunch of blocks finished, but no finished quilts.

Right now I'm finishing up Christmas stuff I couldn't finish in the past 2 years because I was too sick.
