I couldn't make the class but I'm really enjoying the pictures of the runners. Everyone did a great job and I love all the different colors.
Minda |
Very pretty Sharon. I love blues too. So calming. Reminds me of a summer brook.
|
I was not able to get in on the chat for the quilt instructions. And I am not getting the photos everyone is talking about. I am surely missing out. I hope I can be part of the Secret Santa. MAMAKANE :(
|
MAMAKANE, the pics start on page 4 of this same thread and they're sprinkled throughout the rest of the thread from that page on. Hope that helps. :)
|
Thanks! I need the transcript although I probably can figure it out. I made a table runner last year that was on the same princilples. If I can figure out how to post a photo I will. MAMAKANE

Love everyones work  , didn't we have fun :P . Mine's a chrismassy one too, I"m really keen on the idea of doing the piecing and the quilting at the same time, might mean that I might actually get something finished, gasp! Here's mine, I still have to do the binding and a little bit of quilting in the center block. I know, it's done different  , I did one end then I did the other end after putting the frame around the block. I got the squares in there by doing a little bit of prepiecing
|
Wow ShellyQ! That is so pretty! I love your pieced squares. You really kicked it up a notch!
|
Thank you! How did it come out like that?....... Well if you look close near the center at the gray strips you will see I have only two where most have four. I guess I didn't quite follow that part of the directions.......Thus what you see is what I got! Have a good day!
Kasapa |
Wow ShellyQ! You made yours soooo nice! I love the Chimneys and Cornerstones style. I will have to try that next.
Very good work! You'll be teaching the next online class then? |
Wow Shelly! I really like your take on this project! You are more than just one step ahead of us! Very Christmacy, Good Job :D
|
Wow Shelly! Way to make an already pretty tablerunner into something stunning. I love it!! :)
|
Shelly, Thanks for posting your picure (it's really beautiful) and how you did it. I wondered how it was done that way. So now I have two planned to do. One like Lin's and one like yours. Mine is done except for the binding witch I am going to finish today. I would put up a picture without the binding but I think the binding will add to it. Everyone's project turned out soooooo nice! I hope Debbie does this again. It was lots of fun.
|
Shelly,
Awesome, as always! I love the chimney's and cornerstones. I'm a gonna have to make another one, aren't I? Yep! Gotta copy Shelly!!! Class was fun the other night. What a lovely group we have here! |
Yvonne:
I just love your runner. The colors look like my favorite candy...peppermint! Great job, love it. Feathers |
ShellyQ...you never cease to amaze me. Love your gold squares. What a nice addition! Great job, as always.
Feathers |
oh shellyq, you little smarty pants. just love your runner. and the way you alternated the red and green. very nice :!: :!: :!:
|
Thanks guys, I was able to see the photos and join the Secret Santa! I got the transcript and will try to get a runner done tomorrow. You all did such a beautiful job! One is more beautiful than the other and then more beautiful!! I like them all. I have different fabric so I know mine will be different. See you all tomorrow.
MAMAKANE |
Thanks so much everyone for your kind words and you give me so much encouragement, I don't think you know how much your positive reinforcement has meant to me, but it means alot :!: . Didn't we have fun, I've destroyed the house  ,but never mind. It's amazing, I'm scooting between sewing machine and computer chatting to people who are sewing half a world away, just blows my mind :P
|
I have never found the transcript with the instructions. Where is it located? I did my runnner a bit wrong it looks good but not quite right..is more like a brade. Everyone's runners are so nice..what a variety..and what a bunch of talent we have on here? take care everyone. Susan aka Sharon
|
Susan, you can go here...
http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/2974.page for the instructions. They're easy and it's fun. Enjoy! :) Oh, and btw...I did mine wrong too, but it still turned out cute! |
Isn't it wonderful how each person did their own thing and they ALL look so amazing???
Yvonne, you've been a secret appliquing person all along! I love it! Stetching and trying new things is what it's all about! ShellyQ.........you do me under the table every time!! Beautiful work all of you! Hugs, Sharon |

I had to do another one of those fun runners! Thanks again Debbie and Sharon for the instructions. I have had fun seeing all the variety in everyone's runners.
Hmmm...think I'll ever buy pastel fabrics?!! |
Chele,
I love your topper. Those fabrics are awesome. Great choices. |
Wow! Awesome colours, teals and purples, yum yum yum :P
|
Looove your colors Chele. I think my next one will be more uniform (in terms of fabric placement) instead of all over the place like my last one. I'm liking the ones I'm seeing like that! :)

Snowb-- I love it. |
I love yours snowb. Your center block is wonderful!
|
Chele:
I love your colors and Batiks are about my favorite fabric even tho I've not done too much with them. Good job, your runner is great! Nah! you don't need to do pastels..........brights must be your "thing" as you use them so well together. Feathers |
Snowb:
Forgot to mention that I, too, like your center focas block in your runner. Very nice! Feathers |
snowb,
I love the colors in your topper. Great job. That center sure adds another place for the eye to look. Super idea! |
Chele and snowb, Good Job! Love the colors you both used! :D :D :D
|
Thanks everyone for the very nice compliments. I made the center block by doing a square-in-a-square. That's one of the reasons I love this table runner - there are so many ways to do it, as we have all seen and they all look great  Everyone has done a super job
|
Lookin good Snowb  Choice tabble runner and love that center block
|
Shellyq and snowb,
Nice runners. Today is the day to do mine..... I have the lap quilt done and ready to send it was a priority because the person getting it may not make it to use it....but the family can have it. tlcquiltnut. |
