I love that book, too! I used the dachshund block on a jacket I made years ago so now I want to make a quilt with it. I was thinking that I might make one and donate it to dachshund rescue, time permitting.

Yes I sure do! I start going through my mental list of have to get done things and then begin routing though my ufo's and charity donations, just to see if one will jump out at me. I have some little drawers with swap blocks from years ago I would love to play with. I have a couple new kits that scream at me once in a while too. So I am never without something to keep my hands busy. But, sometimes it all seems so overwhelming, I just take a break and visit on the board.

I am guilty of starting a quilt then putting it aside for awhile. Those dresses do come first. They usually have a deadline. And yes, I do work full time also. And I work with 2 youth groups also. My dh says when I am sewing at least he knows where I am.

Wow, Marian, you really do plan ahead! Maybe when I'm not working full time I'll be able to do that, too. Right now, with my spring car shows getting ready to start and my quilting time limited my small plans probably won't get done until June.

Yes I am always thinking on the next project when I am working on a quilt but I don't start another one until I'm done with what I am currently working on. I know - I'm different that way. I do think quilting is addictive, but what a great addiction! Quilt on ----

I do that ALL the time. Once all the problems and technical stuff has been figured and there is nothing left but the WORK.......I started dreaming!

I am always looking ahead, particularly w hen I have become bored with my current quilt project. Sometimes I have to put a project away and begin another one until I can go back to that project. I get so far one one quilt, then I get tired of working on it and do something else for a little while.

I am always thinking about more projects. That is one of my problems. That is why there are so many UFO's in my sewing room. My biggest problem is I get bored with a quilt when it is about 3/4 finished and start something new.

I am usually busy making quilts for my family. I am making a wedding quilt for a grandson now and then I have 3 baby quilts to make for 3 new great grandbabies. I also have 3 quilts that I would love to make for myself along with pillow covers for my Florida room and a new wall hanging for my sewing room. I told my grandchildren that they were not allowed to get married this year because I am so far behind on my quilting but Love never listens to Grandma.

Sorry, but I was chuckling when I read your question. If I ever waited until the end of a quilt to think of the next ones, it would be a miracle. I have at least three in active production at the moment, with another couple I do a few blocks on from time to time. I am also checking my stash for fabrics to do Pat Sloan's new Solstice sampler. I'm already half a dozen blocks behind.

There are four or five in the car waiting to be dropped off at the long-armer. I might finish something if I made anything smaller than a queen.

In short, waiting til I finish something (what is "finishing" again, anyway?) to think about something new is not in my nature.
