using 5" squares makes a nickel- all choice of fabric and they can be all cut up for the pattern they are fun. some shops will sell the squares for a nickel.

so any quilt pattern whose pieces begin with 5" squares? and they can be cut up? and they be the same or different? so what makes them any different from other patterns?

i'm not trying to be a smart-ass, honest. why can't you just cut up any fabric into pieces smaller than 5"? why would that be different?

so can you start with 5" squares and then cut? if you can, then they don't have to start at 5". they can start at ....anything, as long as they don't exceed 5". wrong? |

So just go with it and have fun. |
