Well, she already decided...but if anything occurs again in the future...I love the idea of a massage or a spa day!

Gal, Do you have quilt shops near you? Is there a special quilt book that you would love to have? Eiltcoq.

What a generous thought! Love the idea of a retreat together.

If you know her favorite shop, they may know something she's been wanting....I know mine would!

I would also suggest the quilting table, but you said you have already ordered it. I have the 24x24 and just love it. I think she might enjoy the big block marker that Nancy's Notions advertises, I love mine, Even a few applique patterns or better yet perhaps find an applique book that you could subscribe to for her. There are so many applique books and patterns out. Maybe some different templates that she may not have. Try and visit some day with her at a sewing or quilting outing and find out just what she does have or might like to have. Special rulers, for scollops, varing size of block rulers probably not the correct name for them but like a 12/12 square ruler, I have those and a 16x16 and love them. Some extra needles or hoops, especially applique scissors, -- so many things for a new machine that one might need. Maybe some special interfacing for appliques, or some of the pkgs. of fabric for photos to be used with a computer printer for pictures or appliques. Is is so kind of you to reciprocate. Gerbie

How about a professional quilting of one of her quilts. That is if she doesn't do quilting herself. Or maybe a basket of silk threads that are supposed to be great for applique.

A quilter's retreat is a great idea! Have you heard about the Napa Valley Quilter's Retreat at Walker Creek Ranch in Marin every January?

I think you and your cousin are very lucky. You, because you recieved all that fabric, patterns, thread, etc and your cousin who is about to recieve a lovely and well thought about gift.

How about one of those machines that makes your binding (actually folds it as the fabric passes through)? I saw several models at JoAnn's and I think there was one for about $50.00.
