This past weekend our guild had it's quilt show. I submitted 2 quilts. The only judging that I know of was everyone was asked to vote for their favorite. My quilts were not judged, only enjoyed by those that looked at them.

I never enter a quilt to be judged. I make my quilts for the love of creating. I am a finiky quilter so my workmanship isn't the issue. Some of the best quilts I have ever seen were in the non judged classes.

I would never have the nerve to enter one of my quilts into a judged show, but have entered several in a local non-judged show and really enjoyed seeing them. I would hang around to see if anyone took special interest in them or made any comments. I is well worth entering and is still a rewarding experience.

I like this idea, too. Especially if it's a first time entry. I think nerves n fear of rejection is why I've never entered one.
