I have a accuquilt go cutter-love it saves a lot of time. Go to overstock or one of those places little cheaper.

I have a seam ripper in every drawer so that must be my favorive tool.

Thanks for the tip about Overstock. JoAnn is carring them now and they do have them on sale sometimes, and also the dyes that go with them are usually on sale too.

I rip with a single side razor blade.Fast and easy. Everytime I try a seem ripper I cut the fabric

I got one in the mail along with some other "thank you" gifts from one of the quilting ladies here. I LOVE it!!! It doesn't roll. I can't remember who makes them.

I had the hardest time finding a long 10 degree wedge ruler and the WonderArc ruler. I finally asked the LQS and they special ordered them for me but the WonderArc ruler never did come in to them. I had to go to a store and hour and a half away and pay way more to get that thing, the the patterns that go with it are really interesting.

What notions & tools are hard to find at LQS's?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Scissors are the first thing I reach for. I have all sizes.

On my wish list - the ONE tool that does it all! Then I'd toss the rest-lol

The right thread is hard to find at the LQS. But I know they can't carry everything.

My fav two are cuting tools. one is a clover pendant that helps me save my teeth and the baby can't cut her fingers on. the other is a pair of special edition Ginger sisors they cut like butter!(they have the pritty purple flowers)

on my wish list is a self healing cuting mat 16"x25" and rotary cutter.and some rulers to go with. I would also like a small Irning board and a hand held iorn.Wile I'm dreaming I would like bobins for every color of thred I have, and a shelf for my progects.not too much dreaming I am working on it but first I need to fix my car! laugh or cry...lol.

My June Tailor Shape Cut. I can cut strips without the ruler moving, it's wonderful.

rotary cutter
cutting boards both small and large
one thing I have not seen mentioned on this board, a bobbin winder. Do not have to take your thread from the machine to use one of those. I think it works better. That is on my wish list.
