Me too. I know exactly. Eat peanutbutter and jelly and cheerios. I get two gal of milk now and two lg things of OJ and 4 dozen eggs and 4 loafs of bread. I keep the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned and the laundry done. the dust. I don't care. My husband does the floors. I manage to water the flowers and take a shower. No makeup for days. I took dog for ten minutes. I feel sorry for my family but not enough to quit.

I woke up at 2:30 am and couldn't return to sleep. Why??? I had been fabric shopping yesterday and was so excited about playing with my new fabric I just had to get up and start cutting. You're not alone :)

Lori, I am like you. I go to bed thinking about quilting and wake up thinking about it. First thing in the morning, I get my coffee and sit here on this board and read all the recent posts! Then when there are sales going on here, I quilt and click refresh lol.....my machine is right beside my computer

AMEN

The goats are kidding, so 28 bottle babies to feed and I am too tired to try to finish the hand-sewn quilts!

For when you have a lot of kids you can buy a bucket that has multiple niples you can attach all around. Just make sure none are left out of the kids. You might still need to hand feed some of the smallest ones or runts and train them on the bucket as they get older. It can make the task less overwhelming. My children do our goats and by the sound of it we have less but I know when the new ones come it can all take a lot of time.

I think you are preaching to the choir. All of us go through stages like this. Many times I consider my everyday chores to be an intrusion into my quilting time.

grammysharon 01-30-2011 06:32 AM

Amen, absolutely!!

Mariposa 01-30-2011 06:41 AM

Are you Hank's mom? His mom lives up by Tulsa and she and her husband raise goats. I'm Ray's wife. Thought I'd ask. LOL

Annz 01-30-2011 09:12 AM

I would be doing the happy dance if I could forgoe all the other stuff that gets in the way of my quilting. More power to you. Go girl.

2livesdown7togo 01-30-2011 01:04 PM

Next it will be inability to sleep and pulling all-nighters. Ask me how I know :D

dixiebelle162002 01-30-2011 01:13 PM

So, what is your problem Does anyone here see a problem?
You sound perfectly normal to me :?:

tjradj 01-30-2011 01:15 PM

LOL. I just decided to hire a housekeeper to do the "cleaning" once a month - so I can quilt without the guilt.
Makes sense to me - what do I enjoy more ? It's not the housework.

polly13 01-30-2011 02:33 PM

My DH will sometimes say, "Do you want me to fix supper so you can keep working on your project?" I'd let him do that every night if he so desired.

lnikkers52 01-30-2011 03:42 PM

I don't want to cook clean , do laundry , and whatever else was said. and im not a quilt addict I just don't like house work :)

I'm on a roll right now myself. Which is good, since I haven't done anything in a good long while.
