I don't know..I have always loved both...though my math stopped at geometry!

Oh my gosh, we must be related because I think the same thing!!!!!!
I love your fabric. You have a great idea for color!!!! Maybe that's why you put up with ironing and math. Because you're good at quilting and choosing great fabric!!!!!
Haha :) I love math but I'm with you on the ironing... I just keep thinking about how fun it will be to put it all together!
When you create somthing new, a quilt you, you are in another world. Ironing and using math skills on everyday things is boring, Ironing and math for quilting is FUN.
Turn on some music, and do a little dance step as you press. LOL
Don't you just hate that moment when you realize that your teachers were right having told you that "Yes you WILL use math in the real world?" :-)
I hate ironing, but, I sure don't mind pressing my seams in quilt blocks. Math was one of my favorite subjects.
Ironing quilt blocks is a lot more rewarding and less complcated than ironing clothes

My (in a former life) math teacher husband told his students, when they asked, "When will we ever use this stuff?", that they will be surprised. Surprise! Your math skills do come in handy with quilting and you've even found a fun way to use them. Now he has a custom cabinet shop and uses his geometry skills quite often making arches and angles in the cabinets. He even keeps his fancy smancy calculator in the shop to help him use some of his advanced math skills. Tell you kids to pay attention in math, they'll be surprised how often it will come in handy.
