We swapped rooms. You really DO NOT want to see what MY room looks like at the moment. Everything is just tossed in there. Tomorrow, I get to straighten it out...lucky me!!
Ewww...I just noticed you can see the old dresser that needs refinishing in the picture. YUCK! My grandfather made that back in like the 20s. Maybe I'll put a pretty piece of fabric over it to hide it until I get it refinished. :)

Well, I don't know what I'm staring at more, the quilt -did you make that?!?!?!, the cat -you've talked about how big he was but I thought he was just a legend, or the dresser -I love antique furniture!

Well I am not sure where to start... The cat is HUGE ! The quilt is awesome ! and the dresser is a precious treasure. And I am glad to hear you swapped rooms, had me worried for a little bit there..Like where was the machine, fabric and all the other essentials that are required ! LOL Thought maybe you used all the fabric for your winter sale and had nothing left...

LOL
Oh no, I didn't make the quilt. It's a Hawaiian Quilt I bought named Under The Sea. It has dolphins, fish and starfish on it. The center is the coral. I just love it. I'll post more, upclose pictures of it on another post.

I'm glad to hear that is not your real sewing room now. It is too clean for a sewing room. Let's see the real thing. lol. (I probably wouldn't show mine now though either.)

I love that quilt.

How about making something like a dresden plate for under the tree.

Use grocery bags to make a pattern of half a circle. Fold this half circle into three or four sections. This will give you either 6 or 8 "Desden Plate" pieces when you open it up. Cut out a small circle for the tree.
.
Cut out the pattern. You can make a crazy quilt pattern out of any Christmas fabric that you have, if you don't have enough of any one fabric, and you can use solids in-between.

Line it or sandwich it with batting, turn it inside out and stitch in the ditch between the sections.

Just an idea........

Terri, not sure if you are still looking for a pattern, but I had a search for you and found this star pattern that is easy to make, you can do more of the strips all the way up or crazy patch, flip and stitch, then open and continue.... :D

I would do some lovely xmas applique on the white parts, that will be quicker than lots of piecing, and looks really effective, if you need some patterns just holler, I got lots!! :D
