I know the feeling. I need more space too. Although after
hearing some talk about the quality of the fabric getting bad
I want the good while I can get it.

That is a huge reason behind the stockup for me Nettie.
My friend Lynna that is coming for a visit, use to call me and say, "Let's go finger the fabric." I haven't seen her in 4 years and I believe she might be surprised when we actually do go finger the fabric, how much she will notice the quality disappearing. I have decided not to say anything to see if she notices and comments on her own.

You need to join stashbusters on yahoo groups. Their purpose is to use only their stash.

Looks like you have enough material to have a small store. I love the materials I saw. Nice selection.

Grandma Peg 03-15-2011 07:05 PM

Can I come and shop at your house?

Annz 03-15-2011 07:12 PM

Wow you have a lot of fabric. I'm coming over to do my shopping.

MadQuilter 03-15-2011 07:14 PM

How about making some quilts? That will solve your problem - at least temporarily.

ditto!

Wow, you have great organizational skills. I'm trying to rethink the way I have things organized now- the big problem is not enough room.

I met someone last week that bought the house next door to theirs to keep it from becoming a duplex. They turned it into a sewing house. She meets with friends there to quilt/sew. Her husband got the garage.

Doesn't that sound like a dream?

Needlegrammy 03-15-2011 09:11 PM

Wow!!! You can open your own quilt shop.

katigirl 03-15-2011 10:33 PM

You can't have too much. When prices go up you will be good and won't have to buy any unless you really need to. lol.. Like that will really happen.

That is just to funny. Think you could make a ton of money.

Michellesews 03-16-2011 06:00 AM

Looks like you need to start making some mega scrap quilts! If you need to get rid of any of it...send it my way! lol.
I just reorganized my area and I was amazed at what I found...absolutely amazed.

You have been blessed. Ever thing of haveing a quilt in at your house.?

cjaye44 03-16-2011 02:59 PM

Gosh, that's a nice storage unit. And pretty well organized too. I have a really large shed behind the covered carport and if I wasn't renting, I would love to convert it into a sewing area.

Karen Duncan 03-16-2011 03:33 PM

Looks pretty well organized. I'll bet you can find just what you need at a moments notice.

nwm50 03-16-2011 04:00 PM

And that "somewhere else" can go live at my house!

Annaquilts 03-16-2011 04:01 PM

No it is not rediculous it is good. With the prices going up.

biscuitqueen 03-17-2011 05:35 PM

it looks good to me just one more shelf and you've got it licked.

SundarKoyal 03-19-2011 07:04 PM

Oh My Gawd!!! To have a stash like that, i would be in HEAVEN!

29cathie 03-20-2011 05:01 PM

If I had that much fabric I am afraid that I would die before I ever made a dent in it. Get sewing!

Debbie C 03-20-2011 05:05 PM

Just keep sewing, just keep sewing, just keep sewing......lol!

MissJMac 05-24-2011 12:40 AM

"is it enough..." - Don't every let another quilter hear you say that, you run the risk of being banned from your sewing machine for life and forced to donate all your fabric to ME. lol
Sheets!?!?!?!?!, geez, if you have one set on the bed and one set ready for sheet change day what pray tell do you need others for - get rid of the extras. Unless you're using them for backing (which I don't) they have no place in your life.
AS A LAST RESORT, STOP ORGANIZING AND START QUILTING, LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN SLOWING DOWN. But that's ok, as one who cares for her fellow quilter, I stand ready and willing to assume custody of your overflow. Call me.

justlooking 05-24-2011 02:41 AM

Wow such pretty fabric!

Rosewood9 01-25-2012 04:09 PM

Wow, your stach looks really neat! Now I have something to aspire to!

Christine George 01-25-2012 04:18 PM

Yes mommamac, shall we send self addressed boxes? My stash is almost as big and I'm still drooling. It's not ridiculous, it's quilting!!

MadQuilter 01-25-2012 04:22 PM

How about using some up and not buying any more until you make some room? Well - unless you HAVE to have some for a swap or you HAVE to have some because with all those colors the right color of [name color] for that [name project] just isn't in your stash. But those purchases you would be using right away and there would be no need for shelf-storage.
