Carron 06-08-2011 07:40 PM

I am gathering ideas.....that is about as far as I have gotten with this project. Just to nice outdoors to be inside thinking about Christmas gifts right now.

cjomomma 06-08-2011 07:40 PM

I dont want to think about it.

spartan quilter 06-08-2011 07:45 PM

Actually, I have 1 lap robe done with a matching pillow case, and 3 other lap robes in progress and a 4th that I have the material for. I am really ahead of the game this year, but with summer here, it is slowing down, and have a YUCK work schedule over the next 2 weeks. So, won't get much done.

frugalfabrics 06-08-2011 07:45 PM

the thought has been crossing my mind alot lately...

Airwick156 06-08-2011 07:49 PM

I have 2 quilts for my husbands niece and nephew that all I have to do now is sew on the binding. I have a quilt top almost finished for his brother and sister in law. I have a baby quilt done except for the binding for my friends little girl. But thats it.

jmabby 06-08-2011 08:03 PM

I wait for the 12 days before Christmas

rfmikelson 06-08-2011 08:06 PM

I have started an applique project for our friendship Group Christmas gift exchange. plan to work on it while on vacation, so my friendship group won't see it. I am getting the pre-work done - freezer paper / spray starch of the hearts and leaves. Hope to add crazy quilting and beading once the applique is done.

MellieKQuilter 06-08-2011 08:29 PM

I have the top sewn together that will be a gift to my BF's parents... scared to quilt it myself, but dont want to send it off either. :) At least I have time!!

It might be June but I am working on a Christmas quilt!! I am making a Stack and Wack from Missouri Star Co on youtube with black background. I also have a fall quilt going....not telling about the ones behind closed doors.

Plumtree 06-09-2011 03:35 AM

I know I want to make Christmas gifts for my extended family this year but not everyone is getting a quilt and not everyone would want one, so I am still in the what am I going to make phase. I'm thinking wall hangings, mug rugs, table runners and the 2 littles of the family will each get a twin quilt--that might be a bit much for me though, eyes bigger than stomach thing going on.

thomp116 06-09-2011 04:06 AM

Our family doesn't go crazy with gifts because there are so many of us. But I do have all the couples gifts already...one of my recipes was selected for a Gooseberry Patch book, so they are all getting one of the books. I know what I am making for the grandkids -- their initials to hang on the wall, and have some of the supplies for those. I will also make some kind of goodie.

Tinabodina 06-09-2011 04:06 AM

I don't even want to think about Christmas yet.

alleyoop1 06-09-2011 04:07 AM

dd 06-09-2011 04:31 AM

I'm working on a Sunbonnet Sue for my MIL for Christmas. She didn't really request it but she sure did a lot of hinting around. My husband even realized it.lol Lot of weddings coming up though.

ontheriver 06-09-2011 04:32 AM

I was at Walmart last month and they had a great clearance table in toys. Barbie doll sets for 3.00. My granddaughters love them so I bought 6 different ones and put away for birthdays and christmas. Also had lots of baby toys. I bought a bunch for my newest granddaughter who will be 10 months at christmas. I think I got her 5 toys for under 10.00, including a teddy that talks and sings to you. Got my mom some preprinted quilt squares for her to embroider as she loves handwork on clearance at Hobby Lobby for 4.00 ea. pack with 6 squares in each, got her 5 packs. Also have made 3 quilts for gifts so far this year. So, I guess I am a little ahead of the game. But that is me. I shop the sales through the year. Last year I had all my shopping done by labor day. It was great not having the last minute rush.

Raggiemom 06-09-2011 04:33 AM

I've thought about what I'm making but haven't actually started anything yet. I'm planning to start making stuff the end of July.

sewmorethings 06-09-2011 04:33 AM

PaperPrincess 06-09-2011 04:47 AM

kateyb 06-09-2011 05:20 AM

I'm working on birthday presents. I do have plans for Christmas. I actually have a few started. At least the items needed are gathered. One is cut out. Some of them are things in my UFO/WIP's that when finished will be Christmas gifts.

Maggie_1963 06-09-2011 05:25 AM

Hey Barbara!!!! No, working on fall B-Days...how are ya? I thought of you day before yesterday, went to that antique store we visited again...nothing new. Still on the hunt for frogs and china buttons for you! Hope all is well. Having a garage sale Sat. proceeds for QFK. Making bags for that. Hope to see you soon! There is a get together in Buda this month, maybe we can go?

AVQuilter 06-09-2011 05:40 AM

Slow2Sew 06-09-2011 05:42 AM

Haven't started anything for C'mas yet, but need to get busy on a king size scrappy for my sweet DIL. She chose the Emma Star pattern from Clotilde. I am SO looking forward to using some of my ever-growing stash for a change.

Becka 06-09-2011 06:00 AM
