I'm thinking about doing one.

Butterflyblue 07-20-2011 06:15 AM

I only have one, actually. I am thinking of making another, as this one is getting stained and worn.

Cassews 07-20-2011 06:32 AM

one!! I have the Miche system of purses . LOL buy the main part then buy other covers for it !LOL well worth it in my book. But I may have to buy the small one as I have the large one right now and I am thinking I need a small one so then I will have 2 .. LOL

saraaev 07-20-2011 06:36 AM

Five and I have patterns to make at least 15 more, but I do plan on giving them to friends and family. They are just so cool and fun to make. My newest challenge is to make one using a metal frame, they are keeping my room at the "home" ready for me.

Way too many!!!! I have been a purse addict all my life. My friends and I find the fabrics we love, make the purse and then go buy something to wear to match the purse.....we're way too far gone!!!!

Cassews 07-20-2011 06:50 AM

oops sorry I misread the post . time for the glasses ! LOL I have no quilted purses, as soon as I make em either my kids or my grandkids take em !LOL

joysewer 07-20-2011 06:51 AM

I love leather purses too but with neck problems, the purses I make are so much lighter before I put my stuff in.

smagruder 07-20-2011 06:52 AM

two

grannypat7925 07-20-2011 06:58 AM

none

Jeanniebelle 07-20-2011 07:05 AM

I don't have any quilted purses at this time but am working on one in the L'il Twister pattern. However, I do have a quilted tote that I made to carry all of the things needed for my quilting classes. My insturctor has named it the 'body bag' since it is very large. She said I could do away with anyone I am mad at and carry the body away in this tote. However, I do not feel that it is that big. Jeannie

LOTS to many to count. At one time I was making them faster than I could use them.

Bug Lady 07-20-2011 07:24 AM

Me too--none.
I can identify with your name, 3incollege as I too was is the same position. Now I only have one left with 2 more years to go--I hope.

ShirlinAZ 07-20-2011 07:27 AM

None! The only time I carry a bag is when I come home from the fabric shop! HaHa Quit carrying purses/bags and don't have shoulder pain anymore.

PS....LOVE YOUR AVITAR!!!!!

I have some of that quilted fabric and someone told me to make a purse with it. Do you have a pattern you would share? I have never made a purse or bag.

Dianne1 07-20-2011 08:26 AM

I have been getting patterns but have not tried one yet. If it is like fabric addiction I am hooked and I haven't made one yet.

psquared52 07-20-2011 11:23 AM

None for me. Although I do have some fabric to make market bags but not sure that counts (especially since it's still in the planning stage).

pledig 07-20-2011 11:32 AM

I have not made any yet but am thinking of making some for the holidays. Which one do you suggest for a newbie? What is everyone's favorite but not too difficult? I can sew pretty well but am new to quilting. Thanks for input.
