I can't get the bottom border of my quilt to come out like the top WHY WHY WHY!!!! Plz tell me. First photo is the top. Second is the bottom.

It looks like the last hst on the side is put in at the wrong angle....just turn it 1/4 turn!!
And turn the one on the bottom border 1/4 turn and it should be right!!

This is a common design layout. It depends on if you have an even or odd number of repeats of your border block on that side of the quilt. Just remove the HST block in the corner and replace it with a plain square. The opposite corners should match each other, with two being blunted and the other 2 squared off. As you look at quilt pictures you will find other quilts with this pattern. This is one of the reasons why sketching out your quilt is a good idea.

i agree with paper princess on this. i had the same problem many years ago and final resigned myself to matching opposite corners.

Thank you for posting your quilt. I have had that happen to me more than once. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

can you just put a plain green block in the last place bottom pic ....instead of the green /solid /floral ....the corners wont match but they won't look 1/2 done ......I think it is just cause the side of the quilt and the top is different sizes

Thank you all for answering my why. this happened once Before and I put all 4 corners in a solid square. That's what I'm doing on this one too. But now I know the why and what to do about it..
God Bless

It also looks like the triangles in the border don' t seen coordinated size-wise with the body of the quilt.

What if, instead of working from one side to the other, you worked from both sides simultaneously? Your corners will all be the same, and you'll have one small block in the center that you can play around with. Maybe make it solid, or have it be a point.

Are all of your triangles in the borders the same size? I ask because in the second picture, the last triangle on the left side "looks" smaller than the one up from it. This the side one, not the bottom row one. It fits with the red square, but looks smaller than the one abutting the big red triangle.
