I'd love to have it! you could put it on the bed and display quilts on top.
my mother had a bathrobe of chenille and only let me wear it when very ill. Talk about heavy!!!

I bought myself a chenille bathrobe, took me ages to find one I liked. Then they recalled it as a fire hazard! Apparently if you cook while wearing it and your robe get too close to the flame, WHOOSH! I refused to return it, I just don't cook in it anymore. LOL I love my robe!

I had a rough one and I made myself a jacket out of it. I love it and I get lots of comments on it. Some great some not so much, but I love it and that is all that counts.

My grandmother had them on the beds at her house. I hated them while I was growing up. While at a yard sale this past summer I found one and just seeing it made me cry. Needless to say I paid the $25 and it went home with me.

Look on e-bay for ideas. There are all kinds of things that people have made. 8-)

I have a chenille bedspread that I purchased in a cream color. When we were taking care of my mother in law at the end of her life, we had a live in to help her. The live in took the bedspread and bleached the heck out of it. After she was done, she very proudly told me that she had cleaned the bedspread and it was white again.

I didn't have the heart to tell her that it was supposed to be cream colored. Still have it, still love it.

At the Houston quilt show, a lady had made cute jackets, both long sleeve and short sleeve out of bed spreads. Also childs sun dress or jumper.

Cute story, well as long as you love it and the person who washed it was happy, that is all that counts.

I have made a couple of flannel and chenille rag quilts they are really warm.

I have made stuffed animals out of one. They are real soft and cute.
