I use the canned air but My machine gets cleaned regularly and it has NEVER looked like that.. But it goes in to get cleaned and serviced often..

That pic was really gross.. Yuck..

Oh my goodness. That is a lesson learned. I haven't used canned air, but definitely won't ever now!

My dealer told me not to use canned air in my machine for that very reason. It's nice to see the photos as proof.

I don't even use the stuff for computers. Better off just using other stuff. Canned air is pretty much a waste of money.

My last job was sewing in a small shop. We had old industrial machines, and 2 old home machines of mine. We used canned air constantly with no problem.

Our repairman, and owner of a sewing machine company, also used it.

Since we were sewing constantly, we'd blow the machines out often, as needed. I would also regularly lift the machine bodies, and blow them off from below. So, I am not afraid of canned air. But, I also did regular maintenance and cleaning of each machine.

None but none of these machines are electronic.
