Congrats! I am glad that it is still in your family.

Yay for you!! make sure that when you get it you put labels on it if there isn't already one. I have to do this for a few quilts my grandmother/great grandmother made. I know who made them and for who, but if I don't mark it, no one else will know

Clapping in joy for you!!!!!!
That is so great!! It's really exciting.
My great-grandmother was the last quilter in my extended family. I ended up having to throw the quilts away a couple of years ago due to deterioration, but kept some squares from the best parts of the quilt to bind and hang on the wall. |
Can't wait to see the pics. How exciting for you!!!
What wonderful news! I'm so happy for you!! ;)

I have a quilt my grandmother made for a family friend as a wedding present 56 years ago and when she was downsizing she gave it to me...
That is awesome!!! What a great treasure for you
I am the only quilter in my family unfortunately. I am also the only one with a sewing machine. How lucky you are!
How wonderful - I wish I had a family member that was into quilting too - someone who really understood the addiction :?
Awesome!
You just made me smile when I read how excited you are about receiving your grandmother's quilt. I'm so happy for you! Blessings!
HOW LUCKY YOU ARE. I cannot believe what my father did to my grandmothers quilt tops. He threw them in the trash. At the time I was about 10. But I remember how pretty they were. I'd give my eye teeth for them.
I'm so happy for you!! I have some quilts that my MIL made. She was such a good friend and we got along so well. I miss her and the quilts are so precious to me. Enjoy your gift.
That is wonderful....I know you will treasure it.

I will take pics when I get it. |
Please show pictures. I didn't know either of my grandma's and have no clue if they quilted. Treasure that quilt.
How awesome! I have a Log Cabin quilt from my grandmother (she made all of her grandkids a quilt top for their high school graduation), and I treasure it...and the memories!
