I like the first one with the lighter strip. The orange seems to fight with the pink strip beside it. Hope this helps you out on your decision.

Yes trade it. Richer, warmer feel.

Looks like I'm the only one with a bit of adventure with color, the orange just perks up the color combinations and gives the whole some character! Stay with it, ube quilting.

I agree with Jennifer. While I prefer the first one, it has more to do with the fact that the first one is lighter and provides contrast. Also, the second one the print is too busy and it does seem to make the whole design a muddle. I'd like to see a different fabric there.

Just because I think a little differently, I'm wondering how it would look if you rotated the rails so the blue-green zig zags down the quilt instead of the pale dots or orangish in A and B.
|
I vote for the first one. That white with the dots helps give more "light" to the pattern. :)

Sorry I really don't know which I prefer, I just have to note that whichever way you are going it will be great. You are doing great!

I am going to try the suggestions everyone has offered and will post the results to see where I end up. Thanks for all your help so far.

I like #1 colors are great. # 2 with the orangeish colors, to me don't seem to fit in. I do like all the colors in #1. have fun
