When I initially looked at it, I liked #1. Having studied it, I think that #2 would be best. I would like a 1/2" 1st border, then your beautiful batik, then 1/2" border of the teal. The brown binding in #2 seems to disappear. Regardless, it is gorgeous.
When you lay the two borders next to the quilt, which one do you keep going back to? That's the one to choose.
I like the first with the brown, but I think it should be narrower maybe 1/2inch. Pretty quilt!

The first one for me too. The blue in the second one is so dark it "stops" the quilt before your eye travels to the border.

Number uno

#2. #1 is too close to the color of some of the fabrics in the quilt and they colors bleed together, IMO. I like #2 better with the pretty floral batik in the wide border, too.
I too like #1, but #2 is beautiful if you want more blue.
I like #1. The rust color stands out nice.

I like #1.

Number 1 appeals to me more, altho both are nice. Great fabric !
#1 absolutely! Love your quilt top
I love #2 -the blue contrasts nicely with the browns.
I like the first pic with the brown narrow border. But I think I would have to see the entire quilt to know for sure which reads better.
I really like number one with the brown inner border - I think it makes it look warmer!
I like the first one....it seems to flow outward.
Number 1.........calla

I prefer the 2nd one.
Both are nice - #1 emits a warmer tone; #2 cooler. Either choice is going to be a very nice quilt!
I absolutely LOVE #2!!!!
They are both very pretty but I like #2 a little better.
I greatly prefer #2.
Number 1 gets my vote!!!
#1 is my pick...lovely quilt!!
I vote for #1 also. Both are nice but it depends on what YOU like the best. After all that wonderful work, trust your judgement, it's worked so far hasn't it?
Well I will join in with number one because it gives a warmer feel to the quilt and accents the narrow border very nicely with the dark binding pow great colors by the way.
Definitely number 1. Makes the colors pop.
Hands down the first one
It depends ... do you want a BROWN quilt or a quilt of many colors ... the brown border makes the browns dominate and bleed into the outer border, so all you see are browns ... the teal gives all the different colors equal weight, so you see everything as discrete colors ... I personally would go with the teal so that ALL the colors shine ... and I love, love, love the outer border fabric. Lovely!
I prefer the second because I always like the binding to be the darkest.
I'm going with number 1 because the binding shows better than on the number 2 example. I like both.
First one from here. would love to see the whole quilt.
Brown looks best to me.
Like them both but #1 gets the vote
I would go with #1
I like # 1 ...
I like number 2 best!
Another vote for number 1. Lovely colours and beautiful piecing - well done.
My eye was drawn to No 1.
