Opinions Please

I am starting on a quilt for a wedding present in May. I have a beautiful burgandy floral tonal fabric with touches of gold. I have a nice gold color from the Mirage Collection from Connecting threads. So I have worked out a variation of the OhMyGosh quilt - 2" sqs instead of 1" sqs - and turning into a two color quilt.
So I need an opinion - Option #1 or Option #2? Option #1 Option #2 Thanks for your input. :D |
I love #2. I see more of the color. It seems more enclosed. Either one will be gorgeous.
Love #2. I just finished a snails trail in red and white. Two color quilts are so awesome.
I, also, like #2 better. If it's going to be red and white, make it RED and white. (my opinion)
Gee...both look wonderful but if I had to choose just one it would be #2. But either will be a beautiful quilt!!
I am opting for #2 also.
I like #2 too.
Thanks for the input. That is where I was leaning anyway. Wanted to know other opinions. I thought that maybe I had looked at it too long.
I vote for #2.
Put me down for #2.
#2 gets my vote.
I guess I'm the odd one out. I like number 1 better.
The only question is do you like the color and want to see more of it or less.
I like both. Your quilt your choice.

This will be a wonderful quilt. #1 looks airy to me and #2 more grounded. I like them both. BrendaK

I love red quilts so it's #2 for my vote.
I also vote #2!
If the main color has a little of the gold, then the gold should be the accent color which lends itself to quilt 2.
I'm a 2, too.
Like both. Hard to choose. Thinking #2 more sew.
When it's red/white I like #1 better. But if it's red/gold I think #1 would be too heavy on the gold. #2 gives the emphasis to your print. #2 it is, for me.

They are both beautiful. #1 looks light and airy to me while #2 looks elegant and rich. So I think it depends on which look you are wanting. I would be ecstatic with either one.
I like #2. I think it shows the secondary pattern better.

I like #2 best, but I think anyone would love whichever one you decide to make.
#2 gets my vote as well...seems more appealing to the eye
I vote for #2
I like option #2
Tough choice. Love them both.
I really like #2
i like one
I also say #2! The first one seems too sparse on color compared to the second one.
I like 2 as well but then I love red so the more the better
Personally, I like 1 better, probably because of the brightness of it. That said, I am not a gold person so I would want to see less of that so 2 looks like the fabrics would be used more equally.
Just another thought. What if on option 1 you used the burgundy floral where the white is and the gold where the red is. I wonder what that would look like?
I vote for number 2 also.
Sorry but I like #1 I think #2 is too busy.
It looks like hands down for #2!
# 2 .Much bolder color!
