Opinions please
 

I started a new project that I thought would work but now I think it might be too busy. This is just the beginning. The strip under the blocks is the fabric that will be the center panel (40" x 48") and the two colors above are the two borders. I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks, Yael

If the quilt was all tiled with the wave blocks it MIGHT be too busy, but you clearly have a different center panel so you have nothing to worry about. I love the waves, just like everyone else.

The colors of the ocean waves are lovely! Can't wait to see what you decide to do with the panel....looks like a great opportunity to treat it as a negative quilting space and to fill it up with free motion quilting.

Absolutely love your quilt and it is not too busy. The collection of blues just look lovely together-keep going and show us the finished product.

It is not too busy and the colors you chose for the snails trail blocks make it look like ocean waves, I really like it.

I love it, all the colors seem to just go together so not busy at all in my opinion. Snail Trails is on my bucket list to do. Are your Snail Trails paper pieced or what? Just curious as I've seen both.
