1 is the one that I like the best

roserips 06-29-2015 06:11 AM

#1 deffinately, the eye moves nicely through the composition and the staggered set lends intrest.

EmiliasNana 06-29-2015 07:08 AM

If it were me, I would try laying the four squares as you have them in layout option #2, but use the dark purple as the outside borders. I think the turquoise squares facing the center would make a good focal point, but I have better luck trying my squares on a design wall and living with it for a couple days : ) or taking a picture with my camera and looking at all four on the computer, even in black and white.

Wanabee Quiltin 06-29-2015 07:22 AM

I actually didn't like any of them. I would see how Option # 4 would look with the blocks turned so that the darker fabrics were in the middle and the light fabric would look on the outside near the dark border.

Tudey 06-29-2015 07:50 AM

Option one definitely

I like this ^ idea.

I like 1 but would pull the squares in from the outer edge so there is a narrow purple around the outside to connect the 4 squares together optically.

msrosecooks 06-29-2015 09:56 AM

I like option 2.

MargeD 06-29-2015 10:10 AM

I think I like #1 the best, but they are all pretty.

Rennie 06-29-2015 12:27 PM

I agree with Kenmore Gal - Option 4, but turn the blocks so the blues are in the center. But you need to do what pleases you. I just happen to like conformity - #1 and number #3 would make me want to "fix" the arrangement all the time, like constantly straightening a picture that gets a little crooked. Love the color combinations, though..

Isn't # 2 the opposite of # 4? Or am I confused?

I'm on the #1 bandwagon! Even without reading the other votes, that was my first instinct!

Sandi 06-29-2015 01:12 PM

I like option 1 - interesting and appealing to me

quiltmouse 06-29-2015 03:26 PM

Did you try it will all four bright pink florals in the middle, blocks together?

It will form a "spinner" or an offset T in the middle.

Well that was my first reaction, too! LOL If you want a look of purple maybe try using lavender. To my eyes the purple is overpowering and steals the thunder from the pretty blocks. I agree that turning the blocks with the dark to the center would be pretty, too.

I like the first one.

junebug4967 06-29-2015 07:39 PM

I like # 4 best, but any of them look good. It depends on what you want to higlight.

nancia 06-29-2015 11:21 PM

option 1 is the most interesting and visually exciting.

Rose Bagwell 06-30-2015 07:05 AM

I absolutely love #2. Almost makes a cross in center .

quiltmama22 06-30-2015 07:30 AM

Option # 1. Asymetrical is more interesting.

Wouldn't that be the same as Option #2 except that the squares all touch in the center? If so, I like that option the best.

How about a different option? Where you put all of the "center" blue squares in the center? IDK how that would look but I'd like to see it. Did I explain myself properly? I guess it would be the opposite of option 4 because on that one, all the "center" blue squares are on the outside.

Julielhs 06-30-2015 08:40 AM

I like option #1

annt59 06-30-2015 08:44 AM

# 1 for me.

AzSailor 06-30-2015 11:19 AM

I always take a photo (that I can delete afterwards) as you have of several layouts and see which one I like the best. I once made a KS Bargello and NO one found the one 12in piece that was upside down until after it was quilted and I took a photo. It stood out like a sore thumb! I like your #1 also. Smiles, Brenda

jaly3162 06-30-2015 03:26 PM

I like Number 1

margied 06-30-2015 04:06 PM

I like #1 also.

nise 06-30-2015 06:48 PM

I am going to vote for #2

ukdame 06-30-2015 06:52 PM

No.4 or No 1 both eye caching !

mumzer 07-09-2015 06:46 AM

How about option #2 only pull your squares to the middle using the background to form a smaller cross way in the center but also have a boarder around outside.
