I only have these four blocks, it's going to be a wall hanging ... which one looks the most appealing to the eye?

I like option one. I don't know why but it just appeals to me.

Geri B 06-28-2015 04:41 AM

How about a different option? Where you put all of the "center" blue squares in the center? IDK how that would look but I'd like to see it. Did I explain myself properly? I guess it would be the opposite of option 4 because on that one, all the "center" blue squares are on the outside.

MarionsQuilts 06-28-2015 05:17 AM

Isn't # 2 the opposite of # 4? Or am I confused?

Dollyo 06-28-2015 05:24 AM

#4 with a slight change. Use the darker purple fabric for sashing between the light side of the blocks, effectively framing each one. The sashing could be the same width as the purple or half the width. I would have to audition thicker and thinner to see which I like best.

KARENBOUTQUILTIN 06-28-2015 05:35 AM

Option #2 for me.

LoriEl 06-28-2015 05:38 AM

I vote for #1 also.

All 4 squares in the middle with no sashing in between them. The sashing on the outside only. That's what I was thinking.... I thought I wrote it in a confusing way.

PS. Not saying your original 4 choices are bad in any way. They are all fine. I just thought of another configuration you may want to consider.

patmadrid 06-28-2015 05:45 AM

option 2 please

tapper 06-28-2015 06:53 AM

sewbizgirl 06-28-2015 07:30 AM

Option 1 is the most interesting, IMO... and nicely balanced.

I agree, that would put the lighter strips next to the darker purple.

nativetexan 06-28-2015 07:54 AM

first one gives more interest.

Maggie_Sue 06-28-2015 07:56 AM

luvstoquilt 06-28-2015 11:21 AM

Try #4 but put the dark parts of those 4 center pieces in the center. I think I would like that best but would have to play.

NOELLA 06-28-2015 11:28 AM

If it is going to be a wall hanging I like 1

I vote for #1 also.

Put it up on the actual wall where you want it to decide.

I'm thinking that there may be an option 5 you may not have found yet, but that will be the winner.

juneayerza 06-28-2015 01:29 PM

one is my choice

Melanie Rudy 06-28-2015 02:40 PM

Are you adding a border to your wall hanging after you put the 4 blocks together?

Mariposa 06-28-2015 02:58 PM

I vote for #1~~

husker67 06-28-2015 03:17 PM

#1 looks great.

Jeanne S 06-28-2015 06:18 PM

I like # 1

Texas_Sue 06-29-2015 03:25 AM

I pick option #1, but I also think #2 comes in a close 2nd.

Susan

PatchesPal 06-29-2015 04:08 AM

I like No. 2, but put them together in the middle and use the background for borders. Any way you decide, it will look nice and the recipient will know you made it with love.

Nice work.

MaggieLou 06-29-2015 05:01 AM

I like option 1 but I think the purple overwhelms the blocks. JMHO
